My New Skete shepherd just died a month ago, and I am on the list for our breeder (Helen Scootie Sherlock) in St. Louis for a puppy late summer. We moved here a few years back, and i did not find a club to work with (given my dog was full grown, trained, etc. But with a puppy, I'd like to find a support venue for her training, and with this one, I'll have the time to take her through obedience trials (last time i had little children!). We have not met many shepherd owners here yet, although one neighbor did get a puppy from Ms. tripp. Mainly I need information about training (the best in Austin...I've done training for a long time, but not here). My husband is considering a job relocation to Austin. One of the criteria for moving is that I have access to plenty of local dog activites and clubs. We currently have 2 GSDs, a neutered dog (age 5), and an intact bitch (age 2) which we may breed. I am active in obedience, beginning agility, carting and wish to investigate tracking in the near future. I located your website via an internet search and was curious about your club. It would be nice if your website had photos of members/GSDs for non-members. Thanks!

My family and I had the pleasure of 15 wonderful years with our female GSD,Amber. She died in 1991 and we have not owned a dog since but we do plan to have another GSD at some point. For anyone new to GSD ownership your site is a great resource. GSDs are among the most loving,wonderful,intelligent and faithful companions a person could have. Our lives are richer for having owned Amber all those years. Even though it is 13 years since she died I think of her every day.

I have a 9 yr old nuetered male, Napoleon. He has started barking at the buses and cars just over the last 3 months. Any suggestions? He is an outdoor dog. I saw this through Triple Crown's site.

I have a lovely 8 year old female shepherd, daughter of Rambo v. Helga. My dog has severe hip displasia and I wonder if it is possible to buy a German Shepherd who will live a healthier life. Grendel had elbow surgery when she was ten months old and has had a "difficult" life. I also have a two year old Golden Retriever. Just wanted more information about your organization and reputable local breeders.
